About Dr. Jill

Jill.jpg

Dr. Jill  knows pediatric dentistry plays an important role in shaping a child’s attitude toward their dental health.  Her approach to treating children involves listening to their fears and concerns even before they get in the dental chair. Then she can adapt the treatment plan needed to ensure the child feels comfortable and safe in her care.  Dr. Jill brings awareness to parents that their child’s mouth is the gateway to the rest of their body.  As such, she teaches that taking regular and thorough care of your teeth and gums is an important part of a child’s overall physical good health.

Dr. Jill, like her husband, Dr. Michael, graduated from University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 1998 with high honors and is a member the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. In 2000, she completed a two year specialty in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital Boston, part of the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she joined her husband, Dr. Michael Lasky, and his father, Dr. Martin Lasky (retired), in their established practice in Tarzana.

Today, Dr. Jill enjoys giving back through teaching her peers, students and the community at large.  She is often tapped to be a guest lecturer on dental trauma at University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, several Los Angeles dental hygiene societies and parent education groups. She also serves on the Board of the Pacific Dugoni Foundation and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental AssociationCalifornia Dental Society, California Society of Pediatric DentistrySan Fernando Dental Society and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.  Dr. Jill is committed to educating parents of special needs children on oral health care and how to raise a fear-less pediatric dental patient.  She often appears at free community events dispensing toothbrushes, expert advice and a smile to prospective patients.

Drs. Jill and  Michael  have two sons and as a family they all enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures. However, one of her favorite pastimes is watching her boys enjoy their extra-curricular activities and sporting events. She is a strong supporter of community programs, such as Safe Kids WorldwideFriends of the FamilyGive Kids A Smile and UNICEF because they help make the world a safer place for children.
